Dear visitor,

Is it a “synchronous” coincidence the fact that you are interested in integrative psychotherapy?

I neither believe in things that randomly happen nor in “envious” curiosities but in patterns. We are governed by a scenario of life fed by “underground” beliefs that makes us the prisoners of repetitive behaviors. It’s like wishing to change the ending of “Love Story” but in order to do so we choose to watch the same film in a different theatre. If not now when will you breake the chains of your limiting beliefs? Who else but us will help you to become a psychotherapist? Sooner or later, I don’t know when, you will want to know more about the integrative psychotherapy, about the steps to follow in order to become a integrative psychotherapist by attending the classes of the Richard Erskine integrative psychotherapy school, about our personal development camps organised in Comarnic or about the workshops organised on a regular basis by the API. When it will happen, allow yourself to use the mouse assertively. If you are interested in reading the articles of Richard Erskine, our mentor and founder of integrative psychotherapy, I invite you to enjoy them with small sips, like a good coffee drink. But ultimately, what is integrative psychotherapy Erskine-current, which we promote? It is a last generation psychotherapy but not an eclectic one, because eclecticism is to take the best from other therapies and just to put them together with no real link between the parts. Please imagine yourself an oriental rug that has a central model, around which fits other models. Were we only an eclectic psychotherapy, our carpet would lack the central model, and the result would be just something “without the head or tail.” In the center of integrative psychotherapy, similar to the ‘central’ model of the oriental rug, sits the motivation theory. The personality in integrative psychotherapy is seen as cognition, body, emotions and behavior, united by the concept of relationship. And because integrative psychotherapy is a relational psychotherapy, let me try “here and now” to establish a relationship with you. So I will tell you what I like on this site: the idea of presenting a “live” technique of psychotherapy, because we all read about them, but you know, is the practice that makes the difference, the fact that you will easely find yourself a psychotherapist, the quality of the information contained in the latest research, case studies and articles in international psychotherapy that allow you to “steal some” of being a psychotherapist. Finally, I will summarize the two major objectives of Integrative Psychotherapy Association: Integrative Psychotherapy Richard Erskine School to become a psychotherapist and organizing training workshops for those eager to become psychotherapists in integrative psychotherapy. If you get to read until here, good for me! If you want to join our team, good for you!

All yours,

Camelia Stavarache -presindent of the Integrative Psychotherapy Association (current Erskine)
